Privacy Policy

What this website collects

Nothing about you personally. This site has no contact form, no newsletter signup, no account to create and no shopping cart. We do not run analytics on it. We do not place advertising or tracking cookies. We do not build a profile of you, and we do not sell or rent information to anyone.

Like every website, ours sits on a web host that keeps routine server logs. Those logs record things like the page requested, the time, and the IP address it came from. They exist to keep the site online and secure. We do not use them to work out who you are.

When you leave this website

Booking, gift cards and the stylist quiz are run by other companies. Once you click through to them, you are on their website and their privacy policy applies.

Phorest — Booking and gift cards

When you book an appointment or buy a gift card, you leave our site and go to Phorest. They handle the booking and any payment. Their privacy policy applies there, not ours.

Google Maps — The map on our Visit page

The map only loads if you scroll down to it. Once it loads, Google may set cookies on your device. If you never scroll to the map, it never loads.

Mya — The stylist matchmaking quiz

The quiz runs on Mya’s website. It only opens if you choose to take it, and anything you answer is handled by Mya.

Instagram — Our social profile

Following the link takes you to Instagram, where Meta’s privacy policy applies.

In the salon

Most of what we hold about you comes from being a client, not from browsing the site. When you book an appointment or join the Color Membership, we keep:

• Your name and how to reach you — phone and email.
• Your appointment history, so we know when you were last in and with whom.
• Notes about your hair — the formula used, timing, and anything you have told us about allergies or sensitivities.
• What you have bought, so we can honor memberships, packages and gift cards.

We use it to run your appointments, to do your hair properly and safely, and to contact you about a booking. If you have asked us to, we may also send you salon news or offers. You can tell us to stop at any time and we will.

Who sees your information

Our team, so they can look after you. Our booking system, Phorest, because that is where appointments and payments are recorded. And anyone we are legally required to give it to.

That is the whole list. We do not sell your information. We do not trade it, and we do not hand it to advertisers.

How long we keep it

While you are a client, and for a reasonable period afterwards, so that if you come back in two years we still know what we put on your hair. Records tied to payments or taxes are kept as long as the law requires. If you ask us to delete your details, we will, except for anything we are legally obliged to keep.

Your choices

You can ask us to:

• Tell you what we hold about you.
• Correct anything that is wrong.
• Delete your details.
• Stop sending you marketing.

Just call or ask at the front desk. We will not charge you, and we will not treat you differently for asking.

Children

This website is meant for adults, and we do not knowingly collect information from children through it. We do cut children’s hair, and those appointments are booked by a parent or guardian, who gives us the details we need.

Changes to this policy

If we change it, we change the date at the top of this page. Anything significant, we will say so plainly rather than bury it.
