Balayage is painted on by hand rather than packed into foils, so the color starts soft at the root and deepens through the ends. The practical difference is the grow-out: there is no hard line waiting for you in six weeks, which is why most of our balayage clients come back on a longer cycle than they did with highlights.

- Most clients return every 10 to 14 weeks. Because there is no hard regrowth line, balayage stretches further than a foil highlight or a root touch up.
